DVD Day: ‘X-Files,’ ‘Werewolf in a Women’s Prison’
Now that Halloween is over we won’t be seeing that many horror releases until shortly before Christmas, so don’t expect too much out of the next couple weeks. Today all we’re getting is re-releases and direct-to-video indies. The most interesting release has to be the 61-disc, ultimate collection of The X-Files. This fan boy’s dream set contains all nine seasons of the show, which ran from 1993 to 2002, as well as 1998 film of the same name. These have already been released separately in the past, but there is a bonus disc included with some new extras. Also of interest is the release of Werewolf in a Women’s Prison, a exploitation B-movie whose plot is perfectly embodied by the title. You can read our review of this fantastically cheesy flick here. There’s a bunch of other interesting titles, such as Amateur Porn Star Killer, The Slaughter, Blood Car, as well as some packs from Fox.
