‘Halloween 3D’ Postponed

An article over at DH reveals that Dimension have decided to stop pre-production on Halloween 3D. The film was originally on the fast track to go into production for a release next August with Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine remake) at the helm, but it’s now being postponed “because Bob [Weinstein] just felt it was rushing too fast.” This is good news, as more time means more development of the script. Production will instead begin after Lussier completes work on his next picture, Drive Angry, which enters production early next year. In other news, Dimension will release Rob Zombie’s Halloween II (review) in select theaters for midnight screenings in October.

Mmmm. I’m beginning to suspect that ‘Halloween 3D’ might never see the light of the day. It’s going to come down to the DVD sales and rental numbers. Will it perform better on it’s home DVD and On Demand to warrant a third sequel? Plus, the Weinsteins are still having funding issues. They’ve to wait to see if they’re still standing next year before greenlighting a 3rd movie.

I dont think another halloween is the smartest thing
There were many unhappy people after seeing the 2nd one so that’ll be a like a 27-40% decrease
And also this is a 3D movie which prob 10-20% of people dont like and like also most movies that are 3D dont turn out that great cause like the people tend to focus to much of their time making the 3D parts then anything else
