Burton/Depp Team Up for ‘Dark Shadows’
Hollywood has gone vampire crazy. I guess you can thank Twilight’s success for the green-lighting of several vamp projects. Tim Burton’s next project will be a remake of Dark Shadow, the late 60s/early 70s TV soap. Producer Graham King confirmed the news to SFW that frequent Burton collaborator John August has written the first draft of the script, and they expect to be shooting in fall of next year pending the lead’s availability. And that lead? Who else but Johnny Depp will be playing Barnabas Collins? Depp… as a vampire? Yeah, we’ll be there opening night!
