‘Sympathy for Mr Vengeance’ Remake Coming
Warner Bros. have obtained the remake rights for CJ Entertainment’s South Korean hit, Sympthy For Mr. Vengeance, according to SD. The 2002 film is the first in Park Chan-wook’s beloved ‘vengeance trilogy.’ Universal had been developing a remake to the most popular of the three, Oldboy, which fell through, but this one seems to be moving forward faster. Brian Tucker will write the script about two men out to avenge their lovers’ deaths.
